Indoor environment
The indoor environment in housing and other premises may be unsatisfactory. This can have a negative impact on health or cause irritation. Such problems may be due to moisture, mildew, draughts, uncomfortable temperatures, noise, poor ventilation, poor sound insulation, inadequate standards of sanitation, insufficient maintenance and the leaching of hazardous substances from construction materials.
If you have a complaint about the indoor environment in your home, contact the landlord. If this does not achieve results and the problem continues, you can contact the Environmental and Public Health Office. They will then make a study and require that appropriate steps are taken, based on the relevant legislation and regulations.
