Exhibitions and events
Several libraries in Umeå arrange exhibitions and other events of general interest, often in cooperation with voluntary associations and other organizations. Story sessions and children's theatrical performances are arranged at regular intervals. Please contact library staff at the information desk if you would like to participate in arranging an exhibition or some other event.

Special services
Umeå's libraries provide services for people with special needs, including talking books, easy-to-read books, books with large print, and videos with sign-language. There are also services for people who are unable to visit their local library due to long-term illness, physical impairment or old age, including regular visits in the home by library staff, free of charge. Book are also deposited in sheltered and group housing units, etc. Contact your local library for further information about library outreach services.
