Library Services for Children and Young People
Some of the branch libraries are located in schools, but other branches also have a wide range of media aimed at children and young people. Parents of young children can borrow picture books and books with thicker pages for reading aloud. Books designed for children who are learning to read are also available. In addition, there are video films, audio cassettes and CD discs with songs and stories which can be borrowed, including children´s books and cassette books in a wide variety of languages. The central library has a special section for children, and a separate section for young people between the ages of 13 and 19. Story sessions and children's theatrical performances are arranged at regular intervals.
