Information about "Akutrumsförmedlingen"
If you're not successful finding a place to stay by yourself you are welcome to contact Umeå "Akutrumsförmedlingen", which acts as an intermediary between newly accepted students at Umeå Universty and SLU and a number of landlords in Umeå.
Most of the time Akutrumsförmedlingen can find lodging in an apartment or a house, perhaps it means sharing living space with someone else. The distance from the university campus can vary. Sometimes, although it's rare, Akutrumsförmedlingen can find student rooms and small apartments. The rent is usually between 1 500 SEK/month and 3 000 SEK/month.
Temporary accomodation can also be arranged for student prices at:
"Akutrumsförmedlingen" is located at the YMCA-office (KFUM) and YMCA Hostel in the central of Umeå, commissioned by Umeå municipality.
