This is VIVA Komvux
VIVA Komvux is the main provider of adult education in the municipality of Umeå in northern Sweden and the first adult education in Sweden to be awarded the Qualis quality certificate.
We offer the following education programmes:
- Basic Adult Education
- Upper Secondary Education for Adults
- Health Care Programme for Adults
- Education for Adults with Learning Disabilities (Särvux)
- Education for Adults with Reading and Writing Disabilities (Dyslexia)

- Food, Meal Services & Entrepreneurship
- Swedish for Immigrants (SFI)
In all our education programmes students plan their own studies according to previous knowledge and needs.
Food, Meal Services & Entrepreneurship
VIVA Komvux offers a one-year vocational training in Food, Meal Services and Entrepreneurship. The aim is to be able to handle and prepare food, such as in restaurants, canteens and fast food services. A major part of the education is professional practice.

SFI (Swedish for Immigrants)
Depending on previous knowledge our SFI students receive individualized education in the Swedish language. Focus is on integration into Swedish working life as well as social life, internal and external players interacting.
