Do not hang out with other people than those you live with onormally meet. If you meet other people, keep a physical distance, preferably spend time outdoors and keep your distance.
  • Avoid places with many people
Avoid public transport, shopping centers and shops. Shop when few other people are in stores, shop alone, keep your distance and stay in stores for a short time.

If you can not work from home, keep your distance and meet as few people as possible. Stay at home if you have symptoms or signs of covid-19.
  • Do not travel if unnecessary
Avoid unnecessary travel, both within and outside Västerbotten. If you must travel, do it in a safe way, isolate yourself if you get symtoms, avoid congestion and new close contacts. If you travel to Sweden from another country: Take a test on arrival and on day 5, stay at home for 7 days regardless of test results.
  • Use mouth protection in public transport
Use disposable mouth protection in public transport at all times of the day.
  • Use mouth protection indoors
Use disposable mouth protection if you have to meet other people indoors than those you normally meet and if you cannot avoid close contact. This does not replace the advice to avoid meeting others. In preschools and schools it is advisable to use mouth protection in situations when adults cannot keep distance.

Stay at home waiting for test results

All children in a household should stay at home if adults or siblings in the family are waiting for test results.

Pandemic law

A new temporary pandemic law gives the government and authorities the opportunity to limit activities to reduce the spread of infection. This applies, for example, to public gatherings and public events, leisure and cultural activities, trading places, public transport/domestic air traffic and the use/provision of places for private gatherings. Länsstyrelsen checks that the law is complied with through supervision. Businesses that do not comply with restrictions can be fined. The temporary pandemic law applies until 30 September 2021.
